Overview

Vandên-evë Bî was founded durring the late 17th century in early winter of the year 1565, by Edlessel Trêg̈mepí. The establishment of Vandên-evë Bî was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Vandên-evë Bî's construction back out of the project. Edlessel Trêg̈mepí pushed on reguardles, and Vandên-evë Bî was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Vandên-evë Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Vandên-evë Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Vandên-evë Bî is buildings are speckled and packed arround crampt packed earth streets with seemingly no patern to them. It appears as if the town's residents simply built streets as they pleased and squeazed buildings in wherever and howeave rpossible, creating an organic, frustrating to navigate, maze of a town. The town is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a town of Vandên-evë Bî's size could have. Vandên-evë Bî's well-designed, yet cheep are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Vandên-evë Bî shows Vandên-evë Bî is little more than a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Birbes can be seen changing hands openly, such that it must be customary to do so and must have been for a long time. The locals have no fear, no annoyance at the state of things, it simply is.

Vandên-evë Bî has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Vandên-evë Bî. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Vandên-evë Bî's natural decorations nor waterways.

Vandên-evë Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

The locals have cut a deal with some unspeakable entity, trading some form of tribute (benign of horrific) in exchange for the being’s forbearance or assistance. Outsiders may be ignorant of the bargain, or they may know that the community is in thrall but be too fearful of its master to take action against them. The creature likely serves as a protector as well as a tyrant, so the locals may be content with the deal even if it doesn’t offer any further inducement or aid.

Vandên-evë Bî's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

In Vandên-evë Bî hail is always enormous, yet harmlessly plinks off people, creatures, and structures.

The Skinstitch near Vandên-evë Bî are known to be quite timid.

Vandên-evë Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves orgies to channel Summoning energies of tier 1 via throat singing.
